3 Things I Do to Keep a Hard Working Group of Volunteers

Leadership might be easy when people are getting a good salary to do the job they have applied for, it can be quite different when you need to manage a group of people who put their time in for free and have no hope of payment. These are a few things that I do to win people and keep them.

ONE I let strangers join my ministry

With a lot of time and a lot of reading I have managed to get my ministry website to be the first website found on Google around the world under a search under the words "Personal prophecy"

On the website I tell people that the gift that allows you to speak a comforting and encouraging message off God to a person about their current situation and their future can be received by simply them praying a prayer that I will send them.

There are so many people in the world that would like to help other people and in Pentecostal circles the gift of prophecy and another two gifts that are used with that gift are highly sought by people.

So when a person come to my site searching for people that can give them a message off God, finds out that we are looking for more people and that they too can prophesy if they write to us and ask us to pray for them they are often very happy and write in for the gift.

So many times in churches people can be gifted and never used by the pastor or the people in charge. Being offered a role in a ministry that has the highest ranking on search engines is sometimes very hard to turn down.

In four years I have had many people start with a NEW gift of prophecy that they received off God when they prayed the prayer I wrote for them, and some of them have been good hard workers.

Getting a message off God isn't just a matter of sitting down and writing it, a person has to spend time coming into the Anointing or the presence of God so He will speak through them.

Not only do people do the prophecies allotted to them each week they also spend the time needed to get prepared ( in the Anointing) to get the message.

If you have ever wanted to grow your business in a good way, look into how you can offer people voluntary job and you will find some great people.

TWO I develop a relationship with my team

Over the year I take the time to get to know the people that I am working with. I take the time to ask them things and find out about things that interest them and all about their lives and things that they want to talk about.

From time to time God will lead me to give each of my team members a message off Him and this can lead to good conversations as God speaks into their life.

In four years of running websites that that offer free prophecies I have never met a person on my team face to face, and so to get to know them sometimes takes quite a bit of writing.

THREE I give plenty of feedback and encouragement on their work

When you are giving people a message off God and only one in five people are writing back to say thanks for the message, there is a lot of pressure sometimes on the person doing the prophecies.

It's good for them to hear that they have done a wonderful job with what they have written to people. I tell them what I like in what they have said.

It keeps them up and happy.

You can come under a lot of attack from the evil one when you are doing work like this for the Lord and in these times it's good for my team to know that they have a team leader that is there for them.
