If you are in the middle management and your office looks as nice as most of the people in upper management, then the next thing you know you might become part of upper management. One of the things that are true about human nature is that people like to be around other people like themselves. If you dress like upper management, act like upper management, have office furniture like upper management, then there will be a better chance of you being promoted to upper management. I know that this sounds absurd, but if you think about it this theory actually makes some sense.
